Milwaukee's Got Talent

Friday, December 23, 2011, was the 1st annual Milwaukee's Got Talent competition.  Our three judges, Mr. Richard Geyer, Miss Nora Collins, and Ms. Deb Ruesch took on the very difficult task of picking only one winner out of a pool of extremely talented individuals.  Our 2:00pm group of contestants took the stage by storm.  10 competitors sang songs from Rhianna and T.I to original songs written by the contestants themselves.  "Superman I do it" was a hit, sung by Jessie Starr and Leo King (Top Rated), singer/songwriter, Becca Richter pleased the audience with her version of Cold Play's, Fix You, and young Alexis Monroe belted out Christina Aguliara's Hurt in accapella.  The judges graced 6 individuals with the opportunity to move to the final round, Jenna Leigh, Ben Pysk, Becca Richter, Jessie Starr & Leo King (Top Rated), Alexis Monroe, and Reese Parish.

Our 4:00 contestants took the stage only to find themselves up against another pool of talent.  First to take the stage, Bradley James Kroll showed his ability on percussion and amazed the judges, earning him a very coveted spot in the final round.  Another talent, Hannah Mrozak shook the audience with her rendition of Etta James' Something's Got A Hold On Me earning her a spot in the finals as well.  Dominic Serio, the last contestant from the 4:00pm round to make it to the finals gave a smooth performance singing Santa Clause is Coming to Town.

Finals began and each performance was better than the first rounds.  The judges deliberated and finally crowned Hannah Mrozak as the first Milwaukee' s Got Talent Winner.  Hannha walked away with a certificate to Studio Z in MIlwaukee for 6 hours of recording time and a $500 gift card to Frontier Airlines.

Great Job Hannah and to all our finalists!!!
