Ryan Grant and Craig Counsell Join Winter Fest’s
“Read It To Beat It” Guinness Book of World Records Challenge
MILWAUKEE – (September 30, 2023) – Ryan Grant of the Green Bay Packers and Craig Counsell of the Milwaukee Brewers are scheduled to take part in Winter Fest’s Read it To Beat It Guinness Book of Records Challenge. They will be joined on Tuesday, December 20th at 10 am at the US Cellular Arena by Mayor Tom Barrett and Mary Lou Young, President and CEO of United Way of Greater Milwaukee as they attempt the break the record for “the most children reading together with an adult.”
An estimated 6,000 students from southeastern Wisconsin will take part in the biggest reading event in the WORLD! The current Guinness Book of World Records for “the most children reading together with an adult” is 3,706 children and was achieved by the Hervey Bay State Schools in Queensland, Australia.
The Brewers Community Foundation and United Way of Greater Milwaukee are proud sponsors of the event. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Next Door Foundation.

Read It To Beat It participants will receive an admission coupon to Winter Fest, t-shirt compliments of United Way, a book compliments of Half-Price Books, and their name included in an ad in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel to remember this record breaking day.
